Rich Maier's Coming to TOWN (to Stay)

Dave Power, owner of Windward Lake Club in Alpharetta, reports that he has enticed 10X Platform Tennis National Champion and Hall of Fame member Rich Maier, to become the first head platform tennis professional at the beautiful new 2 court paddle venue in Alpharetta. An experienced teacher and great guy, who helped with early efforts to bring platform tennis to Atlanta, Rich is a huge addition to the platform tennis scene & is another great reason to play this sport & join Windward Lake Club for those of you in the Northern reaches of Atlanta. You folks will be so happy to have Rich Maier at your club. We will miss him up here. However be warned-when you buy him "A drink"
you will find out quickly that he never has 2 of the same thing. The man was like iron on the court and has an iron stomach!! From an
old friend who hit the shot of his life last month, backhand high off the side wire perfectly placed past Richies backhand.He only smirked and then kicked butt in the 3rd set. Dale Lydecker, Nyack NY, the former home of paddle superstars!
