GPC Wins the 7th PPL Championship (again) - 58 Competitors!!!

The 7the PPL Championship boasted a record 58 competitors in 7 flights playing half day round robins at GPC, AGC, PDC & CTC.  The deciding match was also the last match of the day between AGC& GPC, which Rob Celona & Steve Gareleck won against fierce competititors Rick McNerney and Brian Bortnick. 

Event Director Erik Becker remarked of the event on a beautiful scattered cloud & cool late winter day, it was by far the best yet for the PPL, both in terms of players, number of matches and format.  As the 7th PPL season nears a close, 17 Atlantan men & women are now gearing up to compete in the National Championship & President's Cup on Long Island in Mid March. 

Platform tennis is growing fast in Atlanta, with great buzz and adoption by tennis players as a terrific winter alternative to tennis...if you haven't already, come try it...!!!
