Clear & Cold for the Finals - Bailey/Lauer Defend

On Sunday, the weather cleared but never crossed 24 - 50 spectators braved the cold to watch Jay Bailey & Peter Lauer of Atlanta prevail over J. Laschinger (Atlanta) and Jack Sutherland (Long Island) 6-4, 6-4. All of the rescheduled matches from saturday were played & lot's of nice prizes courtesy of Mori Luggage were awarded - great great job by our Tournament Director, Jennifer Hayes, and Beth Clay (Director of Racquet Sports at Cherokee). Carlos Engel & Mark Schmidt won the 3rd place playoff, defeating John Winter & Berni Staub in 3 sets.

Party On!

The Peachtree Invitational in the Snow at the CTC venue

How incredibly fitting - we finish the courts Friday night & on opening day and the start of the tournament, we get a snow storm - Jennifer Hayes, our tournament director did a superb job of running the event & responding to court closings and the many other related problems.

Finishing the Cherokee Courts in the Nick of Time
