Plans Set for the Grand Finale - March 1st at CTC

A record shattering 36 teams from all 4 clubs will compete for the Peachtree Paddle Cup on Saturday March 1st at the new Cherokee padddle venue. The format, running all day on Saturday, will be a ladder event with the #1 teams playing each other, #2 teams, etc. The winner will be the team earning the most points across the day. Last year the Cup was won by Druid Hills and in 2006, Ansley took the prize. All League members and their families are invited to come watch, with a keg & lunch served. Should be great.

In news that should be good for the sport, giant Prince, the NJ based maker of all kinds of racquet sport equipment, will acquire Viking (Long Island, NY) the leader in platform tennis racquets & balls. As a result, two giants (Wilson & Prince) will compete to supply high quality products and services for the great sport of platform tennis.
